Rally is the newest feature of events offered by the AKC. It is geared to be a go between to get you started and interested in obedience. Rally was developed to be a step up from the CGC program and help people that wanted to go into either obedience or agility . It is lots of fun and you do it at your own pace with no pressure of someone commanding you. Rally is made up of numerous signs and the handler and dog would go around to each of the signs and perform them one at a time until you reach the finish line. Praise, clapping hands and lots of verbal guidance are encouraged in this sport. As you learn the signs in our classes, we offer many courses to keep you interested. Every week is a new course to work and learn. Guaranteed to be fun for you and your dog. We also offer Rally at our match shows that can prepare you to enter shows if you wanted to. Either way, whether you just want to do it for fun or if you want to earn titles in this sport, it is a wonderful stepping stone up for those that have already been in our obedience beginners class. An excellent way to bond with your dog.
